The six steps to reaching Optimal Health can be remembered easily using
the acronym BeSlimTM. The BeSlimTM Philosophy incorporates key behaviors mastered
by Take Shape For Life clients who have lost significant amounts of
weight and maintained their weight loss for years:
Breakfast It's key for your body to start the day properly! You need
high quality fuel — protein and carbohydrates — like those in our
clinically proven, nutritionally balanced meals. With our delicious and
convenient Medifast meals, you'll always eat breakfast!
Exercise
Exercise is a key component because it increases metabolism,
provides greater flexibility and strength, improves bone structure and
posture, enhances mental clarity, and strengthens the immune system.
Support
Your Health Coach will keep you on track! With Take Shape For
Life, you also have access to the Virtual Clinic and Support In Motion
on the web and you can participate on the interactive Nurse, Doctor and
Maintenance Calls.
Low fat meals 5-6 times a day
Eating frequently, restricting fat
intake and controlling portion sizes and total calories are critical for
success
Individual Plan
Your Coach will help you create an individual plan to
help you navigate through a hostile environment of temptations and
nutritional pollution. Your plan is key to adopting an Optimal Health
lifestyle.
Monitor
Once you have achieved your healthy weight, you'll want to
stay there. Frequent monitoring is the key. Simply weighing yourself on
a regular basis, or trying on a pair of jeans once a week to check how
they fit, can literally catch a problem before it gains momentum!
